Coronavirus update: We are still open! We have temporarily moved our office to Robin’s home but our contact phone number (07867 387591) and email address (firstname.lastname@example.org) remain the same and continue to be monitored. While we are not currently able to carry out site visits for new/existing projects, we can still access Land Register ownership data and continue to work on existing projects for clients. Please give us a call if you have any questions. In the meantime, stay safe and well!
Whose Land Scotland – Specialists In Title Registration & Ownership Investigations
Whose Land Scotland is a law firm specialising in voluntary title registrations and land ownership investigations. We can register the title to your land in the Land Register of Scotland or help you discover who owns land and buildings anywhere in Scotland.
We have over 20 years of experience of Scottish land law, conveyancing and land ownership investigation. Our extensive legal experience in this area means we can also help solicitors who require specialist assistance with difficult title registration applications.
We are one of the only (if not the only) solicitors firms in Scotland to specialise solely in land ownership investigations and voluntary title registrations, and have completed many of these for clients, big and small. We can do that due to our extensive experience working on housing development, major road, railway, windfarm and utility projects.
Projects can be presented in a variety of ways, from simply finding and supplying copy title deeds to you, to full mapping using state of the art GIS (Geographic Information System) technology. We work with specialist mapping contractor Archie Stewart (Landmaps Ltd) where digital mapping is required – e.g. voluntary title registrations.
Our service doesn’t end by simply presenting you with data. We work with you to achieve your goals, whatever they may be, using the full extent of our knowledge acquired over 20 years in the field.
Who We Help
We help landowners, project developers and public authorities with a variety of projects and objectives. Whatever your requirements, we can provide you with assistance and information.
We specialise in registering titles in the Land Register of Scotland if they are not already registered (voluntary registration). We can also assist with establishing legal land boundaries and verifying who owns adjacent or nearby land.
We can help with the acquisition of land, carry out land ownership searches, investigate and interpret title deeds, map ownership of land, carry out land referencing and identify ransom strips or areas of uncertain ownership.
Members of the legal profession often require help with specialist land law, conveyancing and title registration cases, including voluntary title registrations and missing/unknown titles. We are happy to help with the complexities to whatever extent you need.
We can help trace titles and establish boundaries of land owned by public authorities, and assist with voluntary registration of titles in the Land Register of Scotland.
